  1. How do I deposit funds to SHK Online?  
    You can deposit funds to your trading account using any of the methods under SHK's Easy Deposit Service:

Phone Banking
Hang Seng Bank (HSB)
1. Call HSB's Phone Banking service to connect to its Bill Payment Services.
2. Enter Merchant code 1019 and Bill Type 02 when prompted.
Standard Chartered Bank (SCB)
1. Pre-register your third party account (i.e. your SHK segregated trust deposit account with SCB) at a SCB branch.
2. Call SCB's Phone Banking service to connect to its Bill Payment Services.
3. Enter the Segregated Deposit Account number when prompted.

Internet Banking
Hang Seng Bank (HSB)
1. When making a deposit via HSB's e-Banking service for the first time, please visit any HSB branches to pre-register the Bill Account Number.
2. Login the system, then go to "View and Pay Bill", then click on "Pay Bill and Add Payee".
3. Under "Brokers" category, select "SHK FIN. GROUP" as the "Payee Name" and your trading account number as the "Bill Account Number".
4. Select "02 SHK Online (Securities) Limited" as "Bill Type".

Bank of China (BOC)
1. When making a deposit via BOC's iT's Online Banking service for the first time, please visit any BOC branches to register the Bill Account Number and set up Daily Bill Payment Limit.
2. Login the system, then go to "Bill Payment" in "Account Management".
3. Under merchant category of "Securities Broker", click into "SHK Online (Securities) Ltd.".
4. Input your trading account number inside "Payment Reference" tab.

Standard Chartered Bank (SCB)
1. When making a deposit via SCB online banking service for the first time, please visit a SCB branch to pre-register your third party account (i.e. your SHK segregated trust deposit account with SCB).
2. Login the system, then select "3rd Party Transfer" inside "Funds Transfer" section.
3. Select the pre-registered SHK segregated trust deposit account no. and enter transfer amount .

ATM
Hang Seng Bank (HSB)
1. Visit any HSB ATM machine in HKSAR to use the HSB's ATM Bill Payment Service.
2. Click on "Bill Payment" on screen and select "Brokers".
3. Select "SHK Financial Group"
4. Key-in "02" for option SHK Online (Securities) Limited and press "Enter".
5. When prompted for your New Bill Account Number, Key-in your Payment Reference No. as shown on your Deposit Services Card
6. Select the account you wish to pay from.
7. Key-in the amount you wish to transfer.
8. Since daily transfer limit setup vary with different HSB account holders, you can confirm this at any HSB branches.
Bank of China (BOC)
1. Visit any BOC ATM machine in HKSAR.
2. Select your chosen account type.
3 Click on the "Transfer" option.
4.

Enter BOC's designated bank account number 012-875-0-029900-8 to transfer the funds.

5. Enter the amount you wish to transfer.
6. After making the transfer, please mark the payment reference number on the transfer advice and fax it to us at (852) 3920 2082 and submit the online Funds Deposit Form for verification.
Standard Chartered Bank (SCB)
1. Visit any SCB ATM or Jetco machine in HKSAR.
2 Click on the "Transfer" option.
3. Select your personal payment account.
4. Enter your SCB Segregated Deposit Account Number as shown on your Easy Deposit Card.
5. Enter the amount you wish to transfer.

Branch Deposit
SHK's Customer Service Counter
1. Visit our Customer Service Counter at 16/F, Tower II, Admiralty Centre, 18 Harcourt Road, Admiralty Hong Kong to deposit cheques to your securities trading account.
2. For all cheques received after 4:00 p.m. will be processed in the next working day.
3. Customer Service Counter opening hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on weekdays (Mondays to Fridays).
Hang Seng Bank (HSB)
1. Visit any HSB branch in HKSAR.
2. Quote the Merchant code 1019 (Bill Type 02) and your Payment Reference No. as shown on your Deposit Services Card when making a deposit.
3. If depositing cheques, the cheques should be issued to SHK Online (Securities) Limited. Third Party cheque payment is not accepted.
Bank of China (BOC)
1. Visit any BOC branch in HKSAR.
2 BOC's designated bank account number is 012-875-0-029900-8.
3. Quote your Payment Reference No. as shown on your Deposit Services Card when making a deposit.
4. If depositing cheques, they should be issued to SHK Online (Securities) Limited. Third Party cheque payments are not accepted.
5. If making a deposit at one of BOC's subsidiaries (Nanyang Commercial Bank Ltd and Chiyu Banking Corp Ltd), please mark the payment reference number on the deposit advice and fax it to us at (852) 3920 2082 and submit the online Funds Deposit Form for verification.
Standard Chartered Bank (SCB)
1. Visit any SCB branch in HKSAR.
2. Quote the Segregated Deposit Account number when depositing money at SCB. This can be found on your Easy Deposit Card.
3. If depositing cheques, they should be issued to the SCB Segregated Deposit Account Name as printed on your Easy Deposit Card.

CHATs/TT Remittance
Bank of China (BOC)
1. Arrange CHATS / TT Remittance with any bank
2. The payment should be made payable to SHK Online (Securities) Limited Account No. 012-875-0-029900-8.
3. Quote your Payment Reference Number as shown on your Deposit Services Card when making a deposit.
4. Third Party payments are not accepted.
Standard Chartered Bank (SCB)

Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) via EPS / PPS
Transfer of funds initiated from SHK Online's website
1. Go to SHK Online's website (http://www.SHKonline.com)
2. Click on the "Trade Now - HK Shares" button to log-in to the Trading Platform.
3. Click on the "Forms" tab.
4. Click on the "Funds Transfer" button.
5. Click on "Deposit Funds - iPPS"
6. Key-in the amount you wish to transfer.
7. Key-in your SHK trading password and submit.
8. Finally, key-in your PPS account number and password and submit.
9. Check your mobile phone for the one-time password required by two-factor authentication.
10. Key-in the one-time password and proceed.
Transfer of funds initiated from PPS' website or PPS' IVRS service
From PPS' website

1. Go to PPS' website (https://www.ppshk.com).
2. Click on "Add Bill"
3. Look for merchant name "SHK Financial Group" (code:9236) and then enter your SHK trading account number as your Bill Number.
4. Click on "Pay Bill".
5. Choose bill type "2 - SHK Online (Securities) Limited", enter payment amount, then submit the request.
Using PPS' IVRS service
1. Call PPS' IVRS on 18033 to initiate the transfer of funds.
2. Select Merchant Code 9236.
3. Enter your account number, payment amount and PPS IVRS password when prompted.

  2. Do I need to provide any information when I deposit funds?  
    Yes. When you open an account with SHK Online, you will be given a Deposit Services Card that has our merchant name, merchant code and payment reference number.
 
You shall present the card or provide the information on your card when you deposit funds (cash or cheque) to HSB or BOC and your account balance will be updated as soon as possible; and to ensure the smoothness of your trading, please make your deposit earlier before you trade.
 
Also, you will be given an Easy Deposit Card that has your designated personal trust account name and account number. Please present the card or provide the information on your card when you deposit funds (cash or cheque) to SCB and your account balance will be updated as soon as possible; and to ensure the smoothness of your trading, please make your deposit earlier before you trade.

  3. What is the cut-off time for depositing cheques?  
    To make a cheque deposit, please ensure that it is made before 4:00pm (cut-off time imposed by the bank). Or else it will be treated as "Late Cheque Deposit", i.e. we will receive such deposits in the morning of the next working day.
 
There is no standard cut-off time when you drop cheques into the bank's collection box, as the collection period and account balance updates are subjected to the individual bank's policies.

  4. Will I get interest from the funds deposited?  
    Yes. The money standing to the credit of your account is interest-bearing (the same as the interest rate for SCB's savings account).

  5. What is the daily deposit limit of the Easy Deposit Service?

    SCB
   
  • HK$500,000 for Phone banking and Internet banking
  • HK$10,000 for ATMs
  • SCB does not impose any deposit limit on transferred fund, which is decided by the 3rd party.

  6. How do I withdraw funds from my account?   
   
You can give withdrawal instructions any time before 11:00am on the settlement day (T+2).
We will only transfer funds to clients' pre-designated bank account. Normal processing takes 2 business days. For Standard Chartered Bank transfer, same day value is available.
 
On-line Request
 
To notify us, login to www.shkonline.com and go to the HK Shares Trading page to fill-in and submit the online Funds Withdrawal Form. We will send you a confirmation of the withdrawal by email.
 
Written Request
 
If you do not have access to the Internet to submit the Funds Withdrawal form, you can fax a Withdrawal Letter to us at (852) 3920 2082 with your authorized signature and the following information:

1. A/C Name
2. A/C Number
3. Withdrawal Amount
4. Beneficiary Bank
5. Branch (non mandatory)
6. Beneficiary Name
7. Bank Account Number (has to be a pre-designated account stated on the account opening form)
8. Authorized Signature
   
The withdrawal will be reflected in the Account Balance of your online account once the process is completed.
All overdue instructions received after 11:00am will be processed on the next working day.
 
IVRS Request
 
You can transfer fund up to HK$200,000.00 per day to your own private pre-designated bank account through IVRS.
To use this service, you need to pre-register your own private bank account with us by submitting the Letter of Authorisation and Indemnity (download here(38.1KB)) by fax to (852) 3920 2082.
Service hours are from 8:30am to 2:30pm Monday to Friday except public holidays.
Charges

1. Transfer to accounts with Standard Chartered Bank is free of charge.
2. Transfer to accounts with other banks through CHATS is subject to HK$20 per transaction (value same day).
3. Transfer through auto-pay system is free of charge (your account will be debited on the date of instruction received and transfer made on the next banking business day).

  7. How do I transfer funds within the SHK Group?

Instructions must be submitted before 2:30pm for same day value, otherwise the funds will be processed on the next working day.
To notify us, login to www.shkonline.com and go to the HK Shares Trading page to fill-in and submit the online Inter-company Fund Transfer Form. We will send you a confirmation of the fund transfer by email.
 
Written Request
 
You can fax a written instruction to us at (852) 3920 2082 with the following information

1. Account Name
2. Account Number
3. Transfer Amount
4. To/From which account (Sun Hung Kai Investment Services Ltd, SHK Online (Securities) Limited, SHK Forex Ltd, SHK Commodities Ltd or SHK Bullion Ltd) and corresponding account number

You can transfer fund among your equity accounts maintained with SHK Financial Group through IVRS.
Service hours are from 8:30am to 4:00pm Monday to Friday except public holidays.

  9. What is SHK's Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) service?  
    SHK's Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) Service is another channel for customers to deposit funds into their trading accounts. This step came after SHK's subscription to EPSCO's electronic payment services. The addition of this service by SHK is hoped to offer more convenience to customers.

  11. Can I still use the EFT service if I do not have a PPS account?  
    Only customers with PPS accounts are eligible to use this service. However, if you do not have a PPS account, opening one is fairly simple. PPS registration terminals are readily available all over Hong Kong. Please visit PPS' website for details on the location of these terminals.

    The maximum amount you may transfer per day is HK$100,000 while the minimum is HK$1.

    If you deposited funds at SHK's branches or initiated the transfer from SHK Online's website, your funds will be reflected in your account on the same day. However, if the transfer of funds was initiated from PPS' website or via its IVRS service, your funds will only be reflected in your account one day after the transaction has been processed. Please refer to the cut off times below for an indication on processing times.

    The cut-off times for initiating transfers from PPS' website/IVRS service are as follows:
Mon - Fri : Transactions carried out before 7.00 pm will be processed on the same day. Transactions performed after 7.00 pm will be processed on the following working day*.
Sat - Sun : These are non-working days. Transactions carried out on Saturdays and Sundays will be processed on the following working day*.
* Funds will only be reflected in your account one day after the processing date.

Example 1 : If you deposited funds on Saturday at 6.00 pm, the transaction will be processed on Monday (since Saturday and Sunday are non-working days) and the funds will only be reflected in your account on Tuesday (one day after processing date).

Example 2 : If you deposited funds on Tuesday at 3.00 pm (before cut-off time), the transaction will be processed on the same day but the funds will only be reflected in your account on Wednesday.
